CEB support for efforts in favour of Roma social inclusion

PARIS - On 20 October, Governor Alomar, accompanied by Vice-Governor Ruiz-Ligero, participated in the Council of Europe High Level Meeting for Roma in Strasbourg.
The meeting, organised on the initiative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland, and which brought together representatives of the 47 Member States, the CEB, the European Union and the Roma community, enabled the adoption of the “Strasbourg Declaration” in favour of the Roma communities.
Within this framework, Governor Alomar highlighted the CEB’s contribution to actions aimed at improving Roma living conditions mainly in the form of loans, but also through donations.
