First projects approved by the Assembly of Donors of the Regional Housing Programme Fund (RHP Fund)

The CEB hosted the second meeting of the Assembly of Donors of the RHP (1) Fund.

At this meeting, the Assembly of Donors approved the first grant requests for the projects presented by the four Partner Countries, namely:

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina: Provision of building material to 20 families and turnkey reconstruction assistance to 150 families. Approved grant amount: € 2,035,000.
  • Croatia:  Construction of apartment building for 29 families in the municipality of Korenica. Approved grant amount: € 1,048,658.
  • Montenegro: Construction of two blocks of flats providing housing to 62 families in the municipality of Nikšić. Approved grant amount: € 1,980,000.
  • Serbia: Provision of 70 pre-fabricated houses and 125 packages of building materials for 195 families. Approved grant amount: € 1,993,000.

The approval of these grant requests is an important milestone for the RHP as it launches concrete housing project implementation in the Partner Countries.   

The Assembly of Donors also approved the RHP Fund Annual Report 2012.

The third meeting of the Assembly of Donors is scheduled to be held in Belgrade, on 12 July 2013.


(1) The Regional Housing Programme (RHP) is backed by the European Commission, the United States of America, the UNHCR, the OSCE as well as CEB which manages the RHP Fund and the Housing Programme itself. The RHP aims at offering housing solutions to about 27 000 households or 74 000 refugees and displaced persons that are considered as most vulnerable, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia (the Partner Countries). The total investment cost of the Programme, over an estimated 5-year period, should amount to € 584 million.
