Joint Meeting background

The Joint Meeting brings together the CEB’s governing bodies, appointed officials and management to discuss policy priorities for the Bank and to approve new investment projects. The Joint Meeting is held in a different CEB’s member country every year, with Montenegro being the host in 2025 for the first time. A Bank’s member since 2007, the country has a longstanding partnership with the Bank that has funded 11 social projects in Montenegro to date, totalling €213 million, in affordable housing, education, and support for job creation and preservation.

The Joint Meeting will be followed on 5 April by the meetings of the Governing Board and the Administrative Council (closed to media). This year’s Joint Meeting closed session will focus on the CEB’s approach in supporting the education sector across its member countries, with a discussion on the importance of securing investment in this critical sector.

The Joint Meeting was preceded by the CEB Award on Social Cohesion 2025 at a reception on 3 April, which was streamed live on the CEB’s LinkedIn page.
