he annual Joint Meeting of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) will be hosted by Poland for the first time in 2026. Organised on a rotational basis among the CEB’s 43 member states, the Joint Meeting brings together appointed officials, senior management, and members of the Bank’s Governing Board and Administrative Council.

In the margins of the 2026 Joint Meeting, the CEB will also celebrate its 70th anniversary with a high-level event, hosted by the Minister Andrzej Domański at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Poland.

Monday, 16 March 2026:

The Joint Meeting Opening Session (15:45-16:45 CET) will feature a series of high-level speeches by:

  • Polish Minister TBC
  • Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe
  • Carlo Monticelli, CEB Governor
  • Harry Alex Rusz, Chair of CEB Governing Board
  • Wioletta Barwicka-Lofthouse, Chair of CEB Administrative Council

The annual CEB Award on Social Cohesion (19:45-20:30 CET), an annual competition to acknowledge and reward remarkable contributions to social cohesion in Europe.

Tuesday, 17 March 2026:

CEB 70th anniversary event (16:00 to 18:30 CET) will feature:

  • Opening speech by Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance and Economy of Poland
  • Opening speech by Carlo Monticelli, Governor, Council of Europe Development Bank
  • Panel on Innovation, public purpose & new social models (16:30-17:30 CET)
  • Panel on Financing social inclusion in a transforming Europe (17:45-18:45 CET)
