Governor Carlo Monticelli was at the Devex Impact House during the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings to discuss with Devex President and Editor-in-Chief Raj Kumar how multilateral development banks are working more closely to deliver stronger impact for their clients and communities.

Speaking as Chair of the Heads of MDBs Group in 2025, the Governor highlighted how – by acting as a system – MDBs can do operations that are faster and better and bring more impact. Bringing the CEB’s social perspective high up on the MDB-wide agenda, he recalled that the CEB has shed light on the importance of increasing social infrastructure investment in health, education, and housing as fundamental for jobs and inclusive societies.
