7th JESSICA Steering Committee meeting held in Paris

The Bank hosted today the JESSICA^(*) Steering Committee, whose members were welcomed by Mr. Raphaël Alomar, Governor of the CEB (see photo).

The Steering Committee, chaired by Mr. Dirk Ahner, Director-General of the European Commission’s Regional Policy DG, discussed, inter alia, the 2010 activity report of the JESSICA initiative and adopted the action plan for 2011.

The EIB delegation was headed by Mr. Matthias Kollatz-Ahnen, Vice-President, and the CEB delegation by Mr. Imre Tarafás, Vice-Governor.

(*) JESSICA (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas), as a joint initiative of the European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), aims at financing projects for sustainable urban development by combining grants and loans from public and commercial sources.
