Project approvals

Belgium
A project worth 80 million euros with the Fund for the Housing of Large Families of Wallonia, which will provide for mortgage loans to be granted to some 1 500 large low-income families in the region of Wallonia thereby enabling them access to home-ownership, as well as approximately 500 eco-loans at 0% interest rates for energy saving works. 

Spain
A project worth 100 million euros with the Autonomous Community of Madrid, targeted to improving the quality and capacity of (primary and secondary) schools and related infrastructure. For 2010 et 2011, almost 27 000 young school children should directly benefit from this project.

Spain
A project worth 100 million euros with Microbank / Banco Social de “La Caixa”, to foster job creation and strengthen social cohesion. Financings, in the form of micro-credits tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries, will be set up for the intention of micro-enterprises and auto-entrepreneurs for whom access to mainstream forms of credit remains very difficult.
