Hungary
This project, with the Government, concerns the co-financing of the South Great Plain Operational Programme (SGP OP) with the European Union for the long-term social and economic development of the region. Priorities are as follow: health, education, creation and preservation of jobs, investments in municipal infrastructure, improvement of public transports and conversion of buildings into social housing (55 million euros).
Italy
This project, with UniCredito Italiano SpA, aims to promote job creation and maintenance in SMEs located in Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Romania and Turkey thereby reinforcing the emergence of an entrepreneurial middle class and promoting stabilization of employment (€ 200 million).
Poland
This project, with Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski, is intended to promote job creation and maintenance in SMEs in Poland through investment loans (100 million euros).
Spain
This project, with Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa, Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad de Guipuzcoa y San Sebastián and Caja de Ahorros de Vitoria y Álava aims at part-financing the purchase and preparation of land for the social housing component of the Zorrozaurre Urban Regeneration Scheme In Bilbao, in order to build some 3 000 social housing units (VVP – Vivienda de Protección Pública) (105 million euros).
Since the beginning of 2008, the Council of Europe Development Bank has approved 13 projects, for a total amount of 657 million euros.
