Albania
This project, with Mountain Areas Finance Fund, aims at providing financial resources to small entrepreneurs in rural areas, to purchase livestock, tools, as well as to small trade and services. The project will also stem rural depopulation (5 million euros).
France
This project, with OSEO Financement, is intended to promote the creation and maintenance of jobs through productive investments in SMEs located in regions of France with unemployment rates equal to or higher than the EU average (100 million euros).
Germany
This project, with KfW Bankengruppe, is aimed at part financing sub-projects in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey and "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" that come under the tripartite “Energy Efficiency Finance Facility (EEFF)” with the European Community in the framework of the European Commission’s Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) (15.4 million euros).
Hungary
This project with the Hungarian Government aims at promoting the economic and social development of the South Transdanubia region, through the financing of sub-projects for SMEs, education, health, and protection of the environment, thus helping it to catch up with more developed parts of the country (70 million euros).
Poland
Two projects consisting in the financing of fixed productive assets in SMEs located throughout Poland in the form of leases:
- the first, with BZ WBK Leasing SA (3 million euros)
- the second, with SG Equipment Leasing Polska (2 million euros)
A third project, with the Region of Malopolska, will be devoted to the financing of investment projects undertaken by the region, which, by modernising its local and regional infrastructure, will stimulate its economic development and improve the living conditions of its inhabitants (160 000 PLN, about 46.4 million euros).
Portugal
This project, with Banco Comercial Português, comes under the framework of a national programme aiming at the development of school establishments including the construction and/or renovation of university establishments, as well as sports and cultural equipment throughout the country. This project will also identify health sub-projects and, within the framework of the "microcrédito millenium bcp", will finance SME sub-projects for the creation of new jobs (30 million euros).
Since the beginning of 2008, the Council of Europe Development Bank has approved 39 projects, for a total amount of 1 860.8 million euros.
