Milena's journey

Publication date: 10 March 2025

Empowering women entrepreneurs in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Milena Erceg’s journey began more than 20 years ago, when she owned just three cows; today, her farm produces 650 liters of milk daily and manages more than 60 cattle.

Through microloans from MIKROFIN, a microfinance leader in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a CEB’s client, Milena was able to invest in machinery and expand her traditional cheese production.

Since 2014, the CEB has supported microfinance organisations in the country with a total of €29.5 million in loans to date, helping to empower women entrepreneurs.
