Housing infrastructure support and development
Improvements in housing and its increased availability are two of the government’s top priorities in the Slovak Republic.
With the
Public Finance Facility (PFF) from the CEB, the Slovak government intends to
modernise and expand the current housing stock available for rent by acquiring
new residential buildings and renovating existing ones.
The CEB will co-finance € 90 million in carefully selected direct and indirect budget support for the Slovak housing sector.
The CEB will also support budgetary transfers for housing development subsidies, designed to benefit the most vulnerable groups such as low-income families, families with severely disabled members and single parents with dependent children.
The subsidies are granted for the acquisition of apartments, related
infrastructure such as water supply, sewerage and access roads, and safety
improvements in multi-occupancy residential buildings.
