The technical assistance provided under this grant covered support to the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees for the implementation of a project dedicated to the closure of collective centres in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the provision of alternative accommodation for some 7 200 internally-displaced persons. Specifically, the WBIF grant financed the definition of social housing institutional and regulatory frameworks and the overall management and coordination of the project. 82 buildings are planned to be built in 45 municipalities and cities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. These are then provided to beneficiaries based on social, non-for-profit rental housing model or within institutional accommodation (welfare) centres.

This project has been supported by additional grant contributions from the CEB’s Spanish Social Cohesion Account, Norway Trust Account, and Social Dividend Account.
