The Public sector Financing Facility (PFF) shall contribute to supporting Genoa’s budgetary needs for the period 2023-2025. The loan shall partially finance eligible sub-projects in three intervention areas, namely (i) to prevent and manage hydrogeological risks, (ii) to invest in urban regeneration, and (iii) to requalify and upgrade municipal buildings, with a focus on school infrastructure.
Final beneficiaries: the inhabitants of the Municipality of Genoa, the population of the metropolitan territory, tourists, commuters, the youth and the elderly.
Environmental aspects
The CEB classified the project as category “A” since it required an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) according to applicable national law.
