This Project loan will help connect under-served suburban areas to the integrated urban wastewater network through part-financing of eligible investments for the construction of gravity mains (177 km), domestic connections, 12 pumping stations and their linked pressure pipes as well as the connection pipe to the already established Larnaca wastewater treatment plant. The appropriate wastewater treatment, storage and reuse for irrigation will improve environmental protection and contribute to sustainable management of scarce water resources.

Final beneficiaries: around 32 000 inhabitants of four municipalities located within the Larnaca district, including approximately 12 000 seasonal residents.
