Support to the Moldovan Government in its efforts to mitigate the spread and consequences of COVID-19 and to contribute to the alleviation of the crisis’ impact on MSMEs.
This €70 million Public sector Financing Facility will part-finance expenditures for medical and pharmaceutical supplies, the rehabilitation or transformation of spaces/facilities for the reception and care of affected patients, as well as lending activities of the Ministry of Finance to participating financing institutions (PFIs), which will on-lend the funds to eligible MSMEs. Final beneficiaries will be the inhabitants of the Republic of Moldova, in particular medical staff, the elderly and people seeking medical treatment, as well as employees of MSMEs throughout the country who would benefit from the preservation of jobs.
