This ECF aims to support the Republic of Bulgaria in delivering against the national contribution pre-requisites for access to financing under the EU Cohesion Policy and as part of the country’s obligations per Bulgaria’s Partnership Agreement with the EU signed in 2022. The CEB loan will partially finance eligible investments within two Operational Programmes dedicated to education, vocational training and improvement of the employability of the Bulgarian workforce, under the management of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
Final beneficiaries: children, students, parents, and young people primarily from marginalised communities, such as Roma, residing in less developed regions of Bulgaria.
