This €100 million Public sector Financing Facility will part-finance investment expenditures in the education sector, including the construction of new education facilities, as well as the restoration, renovation or extension of existing facilities, including sport facilities. Reconstruction works will target premises’ expansion to accommodate more pupils, as well as the adoption of energy efficient measures.
Final beneficiaries will be children and pupils attending pre-schools, compulsory schools and secondary schools, who will benefit from the access to modernised and less crowded facilities across the municipality of Uppsala. Moreover, refugees and migrants shall benefit from the investments since schools will facilitate their social integration.
