A Public sector Financing Facility (PFF) is aimed at supporting the Borrower in co-financing the renovation of local roads that are critical for connecting remote communities to essential services, markets and urban centres. In particular, works including asphalt resurfacing, drainage improvements, resizing and structural upgrades to ensure year-round accessibility and climate resilience as well as renewal of urban and settlement roads will be partially financed by the CEB loan.
Final beneficiaries: Approximately 1.5 million people in 48 municipalities in the eastern and southern regions of Serbia, including, in particular, 486 000 inhabitants across 29 highly underdeveloped municipalities.
