The Programme loan* aims at partially financing the borrower’s lending activities focused on (i) supporting the financial and social inclusion of micro-entrepreneurs with limited or no access to finance in Bulgaria and (ii) promoting the development of the microfinance industry in the country. In particular, the CEB loan will partially finance the borrower’s lending activities through direct lending to micro-enterprises, including start-ups, in agriculture, catering, hospitality and in services related to education.
Final beneficiaries: micro-entrepreneurs and agricultural producers across Bulgaria. In particular, student entrepreneurs, business owners under 29 years of age, as well as persons with disabilities.
This operation benefits from support from the European Union under the InvestEU Fund, as part of CEB SISW Debt Financial Product supporting the "Microfinance, ethical, social enterprise finance and social economy" InvestEU policy area.
