This project aims to support the Borrower in constructing a new prison complex in Subotica to alleviate overcrowding and address the dilapidated state of detention facilities throughout Serbia. The loan will partially finance eligible investments in line with the new prison strategy of the Republic of Serbia – the “Strategy for the Development of the System of Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions for 2021-2027”.
Final beneficiaries: the current and future employees and inmates transferred to the new penitentiary facility.
