Support to the Latvian Government in its efforts to contain the outbreak and slow the spread of COVID-19, ease the budgetary pressure on the public health care sector, to support vulnerable groups and to ensure the continuity of essential services.
This €150 million Public sector Financing Facility will part-finance the acquisition of medical and technological equipment, financial support to vulnerable families, families with children and medical personnel, as well as the provision of urgent media advertisements and tele-consultations. Final beneficiaries will be the inhabitants of Latvia, in particular medical staff, people seeking medical treatment, vulnerable families and households in need of municipal support and staff involved in COVID-19 concerned sectors. In addition, pupils will also benefit from continuity of education services during the emergency.
