Support to the Turkish Government in its efforts to mitigate the spread and consequences of COVID-19 and to ensure the availability and continuity of essential public health services.
This €200 million Public sector Financing Facility will part-finance pharmaceutical and medical supplies and equipment, the rehabilitation or transformation of spaces, medical units and hospitals, the construction of temporary field hospitals as well as public awareness campaigns and activities. Furthermore, the loan will finance the provision of healthcare services by third-parties, such as private clinics and hospitals, and the salaries of healthcare personnel hired by the Ministry of Health. Final beneficiaries will be the inhabitants of Türkiye, in particular those affected by COVID-19 and medical professionals treating patients across the country.
