CEB Info 03/2016
The INFO magazine focuses on support for regional development.
The Council of Europe Bank’s (CEB) contribution to social cohesion is rarely limited to borders or local communities; its deployment on a regional scale to promote social integration within regions and put them on an equal footing is an important aspect of the CEB's activity.
The Balkans are a particularly dynamic region where the CEB operates through the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) and the Regional Housing Programme (RHP).
The Balkan region also hosts the vast majority of refugee projects financed by the CEB under its Migrant and Refugee Fund (MRF).
The United Nations High-level Summit on Refugees and Migrants in New York last month yielded concrete results on the way forward regarding refugee movements.
It welcomes the adoption of the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants by the United Nations General Assembly.
