Meeting between Commissioner Hahn and Governor Wenzel

PARIS - The Governor met with Mr Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for Regional Policy in Brussels.
Commissioner Johannes Hahn and Governor Rolf Wenzel discussed the cooperation between the European Commission and the CEB.
They exchanged views on economic and financial prospects in Europe, as well as on possibilities to address jointly emerging social problems.
The Commissioner and the Governor agreed upon a closer cooperation between the DG REGIO and the CEB with the aim of strengthening social cohesion, in particular through European structural funds. In this context, they underlined the importance of elaborating common solutions for the inclusion of Roma, as well as for the resettlement of refugees and displaced persons in the Western Balkan within the Regional Housing Programme.
Governor Rolf Wenzel welcomed Commissioner Johannes Hahn’s proposal for a platform for technical assistance integrating the views and experiences of International Financial Institutions. He thanked the Commissioner Hahn for his commitment to broaden the existing cooperation and agreed to launch an urgent follow up on staff at working level.Photo : Source/Copyrights (European Commission)
