Report of the Governor 2022

In 2022 the CEB demonstrated its key role in supporting social cohesion across Europe and as a first responder in the aftermath of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in February, notably by helping neighbouring CEB member countries address the humanitarian crisis triggered by the war.

The 2022 Report of the Governor highlights how the CEB promotes social cohesion by investing in the likes of sports and community projects in Ireland, start-ups in Bosnia and Herzegovina, affordable housing in Germany and Lithuania, elderly care in Spain, and inclusive childhood schooling in Sweden.

The CEB approved €4.2 billion in loans across 36 projects, with a focus on empowering vulnerable populations and leaving no one behind.
