Improving energy efficiency in housing: Why evaluation matters
Did you know that some 50 million households in the EU are estimated to live in energy poverty? Little wonder that fighting energy poverty has become such a priority for EU and CEB member countries. This publication underscores the importance of evaluating energy efficiency programmes in the housing sector with a view to enhancing their environmental and social impact. Improving the energy efficiency of existing buildings is essential not only to achieve the climate targets set by the Paris Agreement, but also to alleviate energy poverty among low income households.
