Sustainability Report 2024

Sustainability pervades all aspects of the CEB’s work, and underpins its mission to promote social inclusion and leave no one behind. CEB's Sustainability Report 2024, just published, underscores the importance which the Bank attaches to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in its investment and business operations.

Together with the CEB's GRI 2024 report, the report provides stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of ESG matters at the CEB. How did the CEB integrate sustainability into its operations in 2024, and what impact did it have on social inclusion and the environment?

The CEB approved €4.5 billion in loans across 44 projects in 22 countries. These projects were mapped to ten Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a primary focus on reducing inequalities. The CEB also allocated €72 million in grants to support high-impact social projects.

The report highlights the CEB's commitment to gender equality, including the development of a new approach to gender equality and the signing of the Joint MDB Statement on the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
