Albana Dautllari elected new Vice-Chair of CEB Governing Board

PARIS - The Governing Board of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) at its 228th meeting elected Ms Albana Dautllari Vice-Chair of the CEB’s Governing Board.
Ms Dautllari has been serving as Ambassador of Albania to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and representative of Albania to the CEB’s Governing Board since 2018. She has more than twenty years of experience in international relations and foreign affairs.
CEB Governor Rolf Wenzel said: “I congratulate Ms Dautllari on her election and look forward to a fruitful cooperation with her and also with Governing Board Chair Ms Petrova in progressing all matters of interest to the Governing Board and ensuring the smooth functioning of our institution.”
The Governing Board is the supreme organ of the Bank. It sets out the general orientation for the Bank’s activity, lays down the conditions for CEB membership, decides on capital increases, and approves the annual report, the accounts and the Bank’s general balance sheet. It elects its own Chair and also the Chair of the Administrative Council (the other collegial organ of the CEB) and appoints the Governor and the members of the Auditing Board.Set up in 1956, the CEB (Council of Europe Development Bank) has 42 member states. Twenty-two Central, Eastern and South Eastern European countries, forming the Bank's target countries, are listed among the member states. As a major instrument of the policy of solidarity in Europe, the Bank finances social projects by making available resources raised in conditions reflecting the quality of its rating (Aa1 with Moody's, outlook stable, AAA with Standard & Poor's, outlook stable, AA+ with Fitch Ratings, outlook stable and AAA* with Scope Ratings, outlook stable). It thus grants loans to its member states, and to financial institutions and local authorities in its member states for the financing of projects in the social sector, in accordance with its Articles of Agreement.
